REIGNING SUPER BOWL CHAMPS THUMP SAINTS IN NFL’S SEASON OPENER
FITSNews – September 6, 2007 – Okay, so everybody says those jackass, steroid-abusing New England Patriots and their pretty boy QB are the best team in the NFL. And everybody loves them some New Orleans Saints, whose Hurricane Katrina misfortunes have pretty much turned them into America’s Team. Hell, the Saints even have their own snappy Visa Check Card commercial, for crying out loud.
Anyway, none of that mattered tonight as the Indianapolis Colts – or rather the Super Bowl Champion Indianapolis Colts – put a 41-10 hurting on the NFL’s best offensive team from a year ago. In fact, the only Saints touchdown of the game was a defensive fumble recovery that was returned for a score. Other than that one play, it was all Indy, as Peyton Manning went downtown for three touchdowns and the oft-maligned Colts “D” showed that its playoff renaissance last season was no joke.
Seriously, we know we’re biased but there’s no way to describe this as anything other than a brutal ass-kicking of one of the best teams in the league. The Saints looked like a powder puff team. Or like Michigan the other day, except with no offense. We’re going to go out on a limb and say that if anybody beats Indy this year Sic Willie will shave his head … wait a minute, better make that his balls. Yeah, that’s it. Listen up suckers, if anybody beats the Colts this season Sic Willie will shave his balls.
