Daily Crap

FITSNews – March 20, 2007 – According to A Daily Sh*t‘s latest advertising rate card, the website “receives over 600 unique visitors a day. Our top performing day last month netted us over 2,000 unique visitors.”

Hmmm … Really? Cause you know that sounds suspiciously like the day we linked to your numbnut website. So you’re welcome. Guess you’re gonna have another “big day” today.

Of course, the best part of The Sh*t‘s rate card was reading this quote from Elizabeth Donehue of The Donehue Agency, who in case you failed paint by numbers in first grade is married to The Sh*t‘s own Wesley Donehue: “Working with the people at A Daily Shot has been phenomenal! My advertisement has led to several new accounts resulting in thousands of dollars in new business. The value of my advertising buy with them has been second to none. I’m going to be advertising with A Daily Shot for a long time to come!” Holy hell, Chippy McChipperson. You realize you only get three exclamation points in life, honey. You got one left.

I thought the best part of the whole thing was reading Clark Covington’s bio.

I mean, really. If you’re going to be dealing with an “advertising representative,” do you really want him to write like a retarded third grader?

” … there core work to serve the needs of the internet marketing community.”

There and their. Not that tough.

“For the past four years Mr. Covington has been an adjunct professor of speech communications and English literature at the University of South Carolina, Limestone College and other prestigious universities.”

I would love to see the other prestigious universities. I assume they’re less prestigious than, say, Limestone. Which wouldn’t make them very prestigious.

“After just 2 years Mr. Covington’s internet business was grossing over $600,000 per year, and on the fast track to becoming a multi million dollar company. It was at this time Mr. Covington started a small chain of upscale clothing boutiques to cater to the twenty something consumers looking for edgy apparel in ultra conservative Columbia, South Carolina.”

This paragraph is too stupid to comment on.

And he wants to be my latex salesman?

2. Don-a-who? - March 20, 2007

Is that the same Wesley Donehue who had a restaraining order put out against him while teaching at USC? Maybe that’s why Folks hates him so much– he really IS trying to cramp his style.

3. Don Johnson - March 20, 2007

I especially like the :

“0 Responses to Advertise on the Shot”

4. tammy - March 21, 2007

jesus. all of you need to stop it already. i have never seen a bunch of people so GD full of themselves as some of you Columbia folk are.

The one thing I’ll give THE SHOT is they had the balls to post my stuff. SC Hotline never had balls and I’m SO disappointed to see you associated with them. 😦

5. Earl - March 21, 2007

Actually, my daily average is only about 140.

6. choicer - March 21, 2007

I got a significant bump the day Ill Will Folks gave my humble website a shout-out.

7. Earl - March 21, 2007

Well, if he’d linked to my site, maybe so. But he doesn’t do that. The folks at Hotline and The Shot have, and I can see the results.

8. Local Girl Does Good ... « FITSNews For Now - March 21, 2007

[…] FITSNews – March 21, 2007 – Columbia, S.C.’s own Ainsley Earhardt (above: blonde, black dress) has hit the big time as an anchor with FITSNews … er, sorry … FOX News. Guess there is a slight difference there. Like how many hits we get compared to these guys. […]

9. Newspaper Hack - March 21, 2007

Wesley Donahue not only had a restraining order taken out by former USC College Republican chairman Kendall Robinson (from what I understand), he also had that “threatening” away message on AIM and busted into a meeting of an SG candidate threatening “Goose Creek-style” violence.

Boy, those were the days.

10. Earl - March 21, 2007

Goose Creek style violence? Man, if Goose Creek ain’t the most quiet and passive place in the state, I don’t know what is. What does that entail? PTA meeting them to do death? Cut their yards badly?
