That Didn’t Take Long January 18, 2007

Barack Obama3

FITSNews – January 18, 2007 Jimi Hendrix broke all sort of color barriers in America by asking a simple question – “Are You Experienced?”

Whether or not Barack Obama breaks barriers of his own will depend in large part on his answer to that question.

Coddled by the press for months leading up to his announcement earlier this week that he was indeed forming a Presidential Exploratory Committee, Obama is now beginning to face the first questions about his qualifications for the nation’s highest office.

Here’s how we think this is going to shake out. And as our friend “The Daddy” says, listen to us now, hear us later, people.

On the one hand, Barack Obama’s Democratic rivals (Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, etc.) will trip all over themselves to avoid saying anything that could even remotely be construed as coming within a thousand miles of the vicinity of the area code of a possible insinuation that Barack Obama is potentially not qualified to be President.

On the other hand, all Hillary Clinton and John Edwards’ peeps (yo) are going to tell anyone and everyone who will listen (every chance they get) that Barack Obama is totally and completely unqualified to be President.

Because let’s face it, that’s how this bullsh*t works.

Personally, we don’t think Barack Obama is qualified to be President. But we give him props for answering the question today essentially by saying that he’s going to let the people make that decision.

Not a bad first answer, Barackarama.

We’ll have to see what you’ve got up your sleeve for down the road, though, because it’s a safe bet they’re going to keep asking.
